Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s demonetisation has got the nation queuing up at banks and ATMs, but Abhishek Bajaj does not have a care in the world. The actor, who stars in the television show, 'Ek Nanad Ki Khushiyon Ki Chaabi... Meri Bhabhi', broke his piggy bank after 15 years.
At last count, he had Rs 80,000 in smaller denomination currency. Abhishek tells us that as a kid, he would persuade relatives to put a note in his clay gullak each time they visited his home. He has already lent Rs 50,000 to a friend, who drove down from Nashik to collect the money, and is also helping a few others in this moment of cash crisis. “My friends and family were panicking while I had a hearty laugh because I had back-up,” says Abhishek.
