Sources say Aaryan to play a dramatic version of himself in a special appearance in the Netflix series

Besides entertaining us with Neena and Masaba Gupta’s on-screen antics, Masaba Masaba had us play ‘Spot the star’ throughout its runtime. The opening season had quite a few cameos, from Kiara Advani to Farah Khan and Malavika Mohanan. Looks like the practice is running well in its second edition. It is learnt that Kartik Aaryan has shot for an extended cameo for the Netflix series.

Ashvini Yardi, the creative producer of the show, is a close friend of the actor. A source reveals, “Ashvini had met him at a party, and discussed a part she had in mind. Kartik was instantly kicked about it. In keeping with its light-hearted spirit, the series will see Kartik play an exaggerated version of himself — an immensely popular star, complete with starry airs.” Aaryan has had a busy few months, shooting multiple films, while juggling the promotions for Dhamaka.

However, the actor squeezed in the series’ shoot. The source adds, “The scenes were shot at a suburban studio last month when Kartik was filming Shehzada.”
