Ram Kapoor catapulted to stardom with Bade Achhe Lagte Hain, becoming one of television's biggest stars. However, on Lock Upp, the actor made a candid confession about the dark side of that success, admitting that fame changed him and that his own behaviour ultimately led to the show's end.

Ram Kapoor on Bade Achhe Lagte Hain days

During the elimination task, Ram Kapoor chose to reveal a secret and recalled how fame turned him into a monster due to the show's success. “During Bade Achhe Lagte Hain, I went through the worst depression of my life. I received so much love because of my weight. I was the most-talked-about actor, and I was even the highest-rated TV star. I kept gaining more and more weight. My doctors told me that I had become so unhealthy that I could die in six months. I could've had a diabetic stroke because I was on insulin three times a day. My sugar was 400, 500, 600+. And I worked 14 hours a day. I became a very ugly person. I’d show up six hours late for shoots, drunk on set, and spoke to people very rudely. I became an absolute monster.”
