Mirzapur’s fans are awaiting its third season, eager to know the developments in Kaleen bhaiya and Guddu bhaiya’s world. While plot details remain elusive, we can tell you that Ali Fazal aka Guddu bhaiya is coming back stronger. Well before the upcoming instalment of the Prime Video series went on floors, the actor began training with fitness coach Rohit Nair to attain a bulky frame. A comprehensive routine followed over eight months helped Fazal gain 10 kilos for the role.

His regimen included strength training with resistance exercises, progressive overload, and balanced development of major muscle groups, along with static stretching and mobility drills. Nair sheds light on the training, stating, “We have pushed boundaries and the results are evident. Ali has shown immense perseverance, tackling each workout with intensity and focus. Our training sessions have been gruelling, involving a mix of heavy lifting, endurance exercises, and strict nutritional guidance.” He adds that Fazal had to follow a balanced diet rich in protein and carbohydrates, and get sufficient sleep that was crucial for muscle repair and performance. Nair is also an MMA practitioner, and helped the actor prepare for the action sequences.
