Girish Kulkarn and Madhura Welenkar Satam in Crime Next Door

Marathi actor Madhura Welenkar Satam makes her Hindi digital debut with Crime Next Door. She plays a “strong and determined character” in the murder mystery, alongside Girish Kulkarni.


Madhura shared the announcement on Instagram and wrote, "Very much glad to share the 1st poster of my upcoming first HINDI WEBSERIES, A twisted tale full of murder, mysteries and deceit #CrimeNextDoor Coming soon on #DisneyPlusHotstarQuix"

The Disney+ Hotstar series, which draws inspiration from a real-life incident, was shot in Jaipur. The series is produced by Neeljai Films and Kara Studio and is directed by Deepankar Prakash, who has helmed short films such as Masakkali, Kaagpanth, Podarok, and Naked Voice. Anupria Goenka, Sahil Vaid, Deepti Devi, Vatsal Sheth, Yashpal Sharma and Mohan Kapur are too part of the series.

In Bollywood, Madhura was last seen in Jajantaram Mamantaram (2003). The acclaimed actor-dancer, who also dabbles in theatre, is the daughter-in-law of veteran actor Shivaji Satam, best remembered as ACP Pradyuman of CID. She is the daughter of veteran actor Pradeep Welankar, who has acted in films such as Page 3, Singham, Thackeray, to name a few.
