In January, when founders and creators Pooja Jauhari and Varun Duggirala pitched their children’s edutainment start-up, EMoMee, on Shark Tank India 5, they knew they had a brilliant idea at hand. Eight months on, their belief has been reinforced as their animated series, EMoMee: Big Skills for Little Ones, has dropped on Netflix. The animated series — revolving around characters E, Mo, and Mee’s adventures — are designed to build kindness, curiosity, and problem-solving skills in kids.  

The association with Netflix comes after EMoMee had built an audience independently. “We spent 15 months building EMoMee directly with audiences, putting our characters and stories out consistently. That gave us more than 2.5 million subscribers [on YouTube],” said Jauhari.
