Imagine an actor slipping out of his character and taking on the role of a lyricist every time the director says ‘Cut’. What if we told you that’s how lyricist and actor Swanand Kirkire wrote the song, Maafi, for Rajkumar Hirani’s web series Pritam and Pedro? Turns out, the request for the song came Kirkire’s way when he was shooting in Goa. Instead of sitting down with a notebook and spending dedicated hours to writing, he would type lyrics on his phone between takes.
