Even as series regulars Pankaj Tripathi, Ali Fazal, Rasika Dugal, and Shweta Tripathi have begun shooting for Mirzapur: The Film, one name is missing from the cast — Priyanshu Painyuli, who essayed the role of Robin. Featuring in the crime drama’s third edition, Painyuli’s character sparked a meme fest with his quirky optimism and the viral line, ‘Yeh bhi theek hai’. Although his character was eventually killed, the actor hasn’t shut the door on the crime drama’s universe.

Calling Robin a “turning point” in his career, Painyuli said, “People connected to his quirks and his depth in such a way that it made me instantly recognisable. Though I won’t be a part of Mirzapur: The Film, I will always have immense love and respect for the team. If there’s ever a storyline where Robin could come back, I would love to return.”

Robin has left such an impact that fans continue to demand more of his story. Touched by the love, the actor said, “It’s flattering to see how much love the character gets. If the story demands it, I’m sure the makers will find a way to bring him back.”
