Manoj Bajpayee-starrer The Family Man has emerged as one of the iconic OTT franchises since its debut. The critically acclaimed spy thriller impressed audiences through its perfect blend of action, suspense, and humour, making it one of the most sought-after Indian web series in recent years. While fans eagerly await the next instalment, Raj Nidimoru, of the filmmaker duo Raj and DK, who created the series, recently revealed that Manoj Bajpayee was not the first choice for the show.

While speaking to IdleBrain Jeevi, Raj Nidimoru shared that the story was written with a different actor in mind. He revealed that initially, Telugu superstar Chiranjeevi was supposed to headline the project. He further shared that it was scheduled to be a film, but later the project took a different direction. He revealed, “Chiranjeevi was our first choice for The Family Man. We initially wrote the story with him in mind and planned to make it a feature film. However, due to various reasons, the project later evolved into a web series."
