It gave us exemplary role models like Kamala Harris, Jacinda Adern, Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, Michelle Obama, and many others, who challenged the patriarchal norms of society and represented their share of voice. Continuing the movement, UN Women has announced the theme for International Women’s Day, March 8, 2021, as - “Women in Leadership: Achieving an equal future in the COVID 19 world”. This year’s theme would focus on the efforts of women and girls around the world in shaping a more equal future and recovery from the COVID 19 pandemic.
