Head to these two college fests for an immersive experience, be it about society, the media or just a fun day out with
your college buddies

SCM Sophia, Bhulabhai Desai Road
If you are looking for interactive and engrossing works of media, be it documentary, photography or ad campaigns that aim to change social perceptions, the Sophia Institute of Social Communications Media’s (SCM Sophia) annual exhibition is the place to be. The college’s annual exhibition will showcase documentaries, ad campaigns, and heart-warming stories about Mumbai and India. From following the lives of night-school goers as they battle personal and professional odds to study (part of the exhibition’s documentary section) to following bar dancers, idli sellers, railway gangmen and transgenders in their magazine Marginalia, or travelling with women journalist group, Khabar Lahariya who unearth discrepancies in public welfare programmes, the festival is a must-attend for the city’s students. Also, part of the exhibition includes their ad campaigns, where the students urge Mumbaikars to save caracals (wild cat species), combat homophobia, seek help for emotional distress and donate sanitary napkins.
