Bengaluru's popular independent bookstore Bookworm suffers major loss after rain, hailstorm

The thunderous downpour and stormy winds cooled the city, which had seen temperatures soar to 37 degrees Celsius, but also left a trail of destruction and disrupted normal life

The rain and hailstorm in Bengaluru has affected a lot of people including the city's popular independent bookstore, The Bookworm, which revealed that they had to bear the brunt of heavy rains that lashed the city on Wednesday evening.

In a social media post, the bookstore shared pictures of rain-soaked books saying they had lost about 4,000-5,000 books worth several lakhs were damaged due to flooding at the bookstore located on Church Street.
