Powai gets its own festival
Similar to the Bandra Festival and the Kala Ghoda Festival, Powai Fest 2014 has been organised to create something for residents of the eastern suburbs. The first edition of the festival will offer a number of activities including inter-school and corporate badminton, table tennis, football and squash championships, pet shows, nature walks, Rock shows, a Bollywood music concert by singer Shalmali Kholgade, cooking contests and a foodathon among other events.

Head out on The Good Road
This year’s first edition of Live From The Console will witness the screening of The Good Road, India’s official submission for Best Foreign Language Film at the Oscars 2014. Directed by Gyan Correa, the movie’s story revolves around the journey across tarred roads and into the heart of unseen India, where acts of great compassion are shown to strangers.
