Continuing the celebrations, the Indian cricket team released a video on their official Instagram account, unveiling the women’s team’s new anthem.
In the video, India’s newest cricket star Jemimah Rodrigues says, “We had decided almost four years ago to reveal our theme song only when we win the World Cup. And tonight is the night.”
The catchy lyrics go: “Team India, Team India, karde sabki hawa tight, Team India is here to fight,” and “Rahenge sabse upar humara tiranga.”
Standing in a circle around the World Cup trophy, the squad revealed their anthem — a moment filled with emotion and pride.
The video of them singing quickly went viral on social media, capturing the nation’s attention. It was the perfect way to close a historic day, as India celebrated its first-ever Women’s ODI World Cup title win.
