The Marathi film Killa has been selected for a world premiere at the Berlin Film Festival, to be held from February 6 to 16. The film marks the directorial debut of Avinash Arun, who is also the cinematographer of Killa. It is the only Indian film in the Generation Kplus competition category and has been shortlisted from among 12 films from across the world. It is the third Marathi film to receive a premiere at Berlin. The other two films were Jabbar Patel’s Samna in 1975 and Umesh Kulkarni’s Vihir in 2010.
