Q. Male DJs dominate the EDM scene as headliners. What sort of a push do you feel female DJs need?
A. I recommend connecting like-minded people and forming a crew or collective. I started setting up a music label with my friends from Berlin and London, which is called‚ Through My Speakers. TMS represents underground Bass music and we are creating a non-commercial platform for like-minded artists with a deep understanding of music, giving them the opportunity to share their love for music. Also, it’s helpful not to take sh*t too seriously and focus on what is important to you. Don’t forget why you are doing, what you do and what your message is. Be positive and keep the balance and have a good portion of humour. You’ll meet the right people who will support you.
