The idol of Shree Siddhivinayak was carved out of a single black stone and is 2&rsquo;6&rdquo; (750mm) high and 2&rsquo;(600mm) wide with the trunk on the right. 3) 11:09 pm &gt; Devotees outside Babulnath temple after a visit to this popular place of worship. One of the reasons believed to be how the locality of Babulnath got its name is from the babul trees growing in the vicinity that were planted during Raja Bhimdev&rsquo;s reign. 4) 11:11 PM &gt; People pray at the crucifix facing the Mount Mary&rsquo;s Basilica. Opposite to it, inside the basilica, lies the beautiful, wooden statue that was brought by the Jesuits from Portugal in the sixteenth century. It was then placed atop the main altar of a tiny oratory on a hill at Lands End in Bandra. Over centuries, devotion to this statue grew as numerous favours were granted. As its popularity increased so did the number of devotees and pilgrims that visited this shrine, often referring to it as &lsquo;Our Lady of the Mount&rsquo;.

11:46 PM: The dargah of Hazrat Makhdum Ali Mahimi (1372-1431 AD) is in Mahim. He was a great saint and scholar of international repute. He lived during the time of the Tuglaq dynasty and that of Sultan Ahmed Shah of Gujarat, and was married to the Sultan&rsquo;s sister. Lakhs throng this dargah.
