Can you crunch numbers like a pro? Are you the sort who waits for the Sunday papers to solve as many Sudoku puzzles as possible? Then, sign up for an upcoming tournament at Cat Caf&eacute; Studio.
The Sudoku tournament will have three rounds, and winners will go home with hampers featuring exclusive merchandise. &ldquo;The game is all about timing and accuracy. To keep it fair, everyone will get the same puzzle in each round, and the level of difficulty will go up as you progress,&rdquo; says Manil Dodani of Cat Caf&eacute; Studio.
The space has been holding board game tournaments every Wednesday for the last few weeks. At previous sessions, like the Monopoly tournament, bonuses were awarded to players whose lap the cats chose to sit on. With Scrabble, players got points if a cat ended up knocking tiles off a board.
The Sudoku tournament will feature one of the studio&rsquo;s newest rescues, a three-legged cat named Homer. The two-year-old cat will, for the first time, be interacting with a room full of humans, after having spent time in foster care. Moreover, at the start of the event, the organisers will place four different puzzles in four corners of the room, and place treats on each one. The puzzle to which Homer goes will be given to contestants.
&ldquo;The aim is to put the spotlight on cats that are awaiting adoption, because people aren&rsquo;t always willing to adopt older cats. Homer is the star of this show. There will be a few kittens joining him, too,&rdquo; says Dodani.
