Mumbai's heavy psych/sludge metal band Midhaven has won Wacken Metal Battle India 2026, earning the honour of representing the country at the world-famous Wacken Open Air festival in Germany in July, setting another milestone for Indian metal on the global stage.

The Mumbai-based metal outfit has emerged as the winner of Wacken Metal Battle India 2026, earning a place to represent the country at international Wacken Metal Battle final at the ‘Mecca of Metal’ -  Wacken Open Air, which is held in Wacken in Germany, and widely regarded as the largest heavy metal festival of the world.
