Portraits of the Princes and People of India Lot 9 | Rs 9,50,000-Rs 10,00,000 (estimated) Authored by Emily Eden, the book offers vivid portraits and rich illustrations of Indian rulers and their families. The image (right) is of Raja Heera Singh, son of Raja Dhyan Singh, a principal chief of the powerful Rajput &lsquo;Jammu Family&rsquo; of Dogras. Raja Heera Singh was a personal favourite of Ranjit Singh, founder of the Sikh Empire.
