To celebrate Ma Durga's homecoming, festivities are afoot at pandals across Mumbai. the guide went pandal-hopping to give our readers a dekko

After vanquishing the forces of evil, Goddess Durga will come home with her children: Lakshmi, Ganesh, Kartik and Saraswati. From Saptami (October 1) to Ashtami and Navami (October 2), there will be the morning Anjali (offering of flowers), Bhog at noon, Sandhya aarti and Dhunuchi dance (with censers). With Ashtami and Navami on the same day, the festival will be short and sweet. Here’s what you shouldn’t miss:
