Swedish DJ Axwell, the progressive house legend and one-third of Swedish House Mafia, will perform at Sunburn music festival 2025 in Mumbai.

The music producer will be joining the festival's star-studded headliners David Guetta and Sara Landry to play some of his greatest hits on December 21 at Infinity Bay in Sewri.

As one-third of the legendary Swedish House Mafia and a titan in his own right, Axel Christofer Hedfors, popularly known by his stage name DJ Axwell, has delivered era-defining tracks that have become the soundtrack of festival culture worldwide.

With anthems like ‘Heaven Takes You Home’, 'Sun Is Shining', 'Don't You Worry Child', 'Something New' and the iconic 'In My Mind', his music are now timeless staples that unite crowds and people in Mumbai will get to see.

Known for his euphoric big-room sound, masterful production and innate ability to craft soaring melodies, Axwell represents the pinnacle of progressive house. His tracks are instantly recognisable, whether through infectious hooks, heart-stopping drops or the kind of emotional build-ups that have defined an entire generation of dance music.

Beyond his work with Swedish House Mafia, Axwell's solo career and productions under Axtone Records, the label he founded in 2005, have shaped the sound of modern EDM, influencing countless artists and producers who followed in his footsteps.

Tracks like 'Center of the Universe', 'Feel the Vibe', 'I Found U' and his remix of Temper Trap's 'Sweet Disposition' showcase his versatility and technical brilliance, blending commercial appeal with underground credibility in a way few artists have mastered.

He has also headlined the world's most prestigious festivals, from Tomorrowland and Ultra Music Festival to Creamfields and Coachella or delivering intimate club sets, while coming to India at least six times in the last 15 years including 2012 with the Swedish House Mafia on their last tour, and as a part of the EDM festival that has move to Mumbai this year.

The Swedish DJ's performance at Sunburn Festival 2025 in Mumbai is expected to reignite love for his music that fans who have followed his journey have seen.

From Swedish House Mafia's meteoric rise to his continued evolution as solo artist and music producer.

With David Guetta and Sara Landry joining him, it is only going to be a celebration of different electronic music genres.

Karan Singh, CEO of the electronic music festival said, “This year’s Sunburn Festival brings together a line-up that truly reflects where electronic music stands today and where it’s headed. With global heavyweights like David Guetta, Sara Landry and Axwell taking the stage, we’re celebrating artists who’ve not only defined the genre worldwide but have also found a special place in the hearts of Indian fans, staying true to the festival's spirit of pushing boundaries while bringing people together through music. We’ll be unveiling the full line-up very soon with plenty of exciting surprises waiting to be discovered.”
