What: Zasha Colah and Sumesh Sharma of Clark House Initiative (a curatorial collaborative) have curated an exhibition at Chemould Prescott Road gallery titled, Bunting.

The exhibition gets its name from the association of buntings with celebrations or whether it&rsquo;s just another use for plastic. Featuring 50 works by 27 artists, the exhibition, similarly questions the roles different concepts play, and how set ideas can be interpreted to various notions.

How: The participating artists include Pisurwo, Poonam Jain, Yogesh Barve, Nikhil Raunak, Parashar Naik, Christine Rogers, Ouso Chakola, Sachin W Bonde, Michael Vickers, Seema Nusrat, Adrien Rousseau, Naresh Kumar, Tejaswini Sonawane, Avinash Motghare, Prabhakar Pachpute, Rupali Patil, Krishna Reddy, Janek Simon, Amol K Patil, Lawrence Liang, Mustafa Khanbhai, David Horvitz, Gilbert &amp; George, Prasad Nikumbh, Shinobu Mikami, K Reghunadhan and Damien Henry.

Some of the social scenarios discussed in the exhibits include the connection between handloom muslin dhotis made by state handloom corporation in Patna &mdash; now sold as cloth for banners &mdash; and Vidarbha, a district marked by farmer suicides, which also sends the largest contingent of students to JJ School of Art.
