Speaking through art
11 am to 7 pm: Pune-based artist Dipak Asole was born in Ladkhed in Yavatmal. The artist was raised by a family that had a deep interest and fascination for fine arts, so it was no wonder that even as a young child, Asole was able to nurture his creativity and observational skills.
His art education from Nagpur University, which helped him earn a bachelor of fine arts (BFA) degree in 2003 and an art teacher diploma from the Mumbai board helped in laying the foundation for his future career. His artworks in oil and acrylic colours are known to be innovative, distinct and unique. They have also been described as being distinct and the artist is known for maintaining ample clarity and harmony in his works through the vivid colour tones that he uses. In the current exhibition, the various paintings displayed in the series showcase his innermost thoughts. The paintings ‘Tulsi’and ‘Mother & child’, among others, reveal the inspiration that he derived from nature.
