1. What served as an inspiration behind your latest exhibition, Maximum Bose? What role do colours play to define the abstract world in your artworks?
My art career began in Kerala but I started using art terms like ‘abstract idioms’ in Mumbai. I believe extremities coexist in life and in my art too. Maximum Bose is all about celestial abstraction with freshness of maximum colours, using all art academics of technical tools to get absolute pleasure. We start seeing if there is light (‘thamasoma jyothir gamaya’) and colours bring lines, forms and texture and create spaces. Maximum colours metaphorically represent an unbelievable positive approach in my life, which the city of Mumbai, or as I call it, a museum of everything called Mumbai, has taught me.
