WeChat: WeChat serves the purpose of Facebook, Uber, Paytm, Tinder and several other apps for users in China, with a userbase of around 700 million people in the country alone. According to an official statement by Tencent, the firm that owns WeChat, it supports iOS, Android, Windows Phone, Nokia S40, Symbian, BlackBerry OS 5.0, BlackBerry OS 6.0 and above, Blackberry 10, Windows, MacOS and on web browsers.
WhatsApp announced on a blog post this February that it would stop support for outdated or older OS platforms on Android and iOS and certain smartphones.
