Western Digital recently launched a personal cloud system, My Cloud, that connects to your LAN router and can be accessed from your laptop, PC or even smartphone using the My Cloud app on your device.

Once the My Cloud device is connected to the Internet, a user can download the files from anywhere in the world, without ever having to worry about running out of space or compromising the security of their data.

The device, available in 2TB, 3TB, and 4TB formats helps users centralise their data which can then be streamed to any DLNA-
certified multimedia device such as a WD TV Live media player, as well as smart TVs and gaming consoles.
