Formed in 2002, Barefaced Liar (BFL) is an amalgamation of the eclectic musical taste of its members: Akshay Chowdhry (vocals, guitar), Sumant Balakrishnan (vocals, guitar), Akshay Johar (bass) and Suyash Gabriel (drums), Abhimanyu Pratap (keyboards). <img alt="" src="http://images.mid-day.com/2013/aug/BFL-PIC-2_2.jpg" style="width: 500px; height: 336px;" /> Barefaced Liars The band is influenced by classic sounds of bands and artistes such as Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, and The Beatles. This week, they will pay a musical tribute to the latter as part of The Beatles Project. Band member Chowdhry, says, &ldquo;We are influenced by The Beatles and we will pay a tribute to them and try to do justice to their songs. We will be playing songs like Strawberry Fields Forever and Here Comes The Sun.&rdquo; Describing the Pune audience as &ldquo;energetic and youth-centric&rdquo;, he admits that they are always receptive to good music. The Beatles Project is a tribute to one of Britain&rsquo;s greatest acts, whose albums triggered the passion to create music in many, including BFL. One of their tracks-- Carnation, has been featured on several compilations in India as well as part of an upcoming artistes compilation in Los Angeles.
