“On Dusera, the goddess is taken in a Palkhi around the area.” He adds that the temple was built around 1780 by the shoppers of the area and the area was later named as Bhavani Peth due to the temple in the precinct. The statue of the goddess is made out of a beautiful black stone and there are old paintings as well.
