He believes that every artist joining the initiative is like an ambassador of art and peace. He says, "The artist leaves after completing his project, but his art remains to tell a story." <img alt="" src="/imagedata/2011/nov/gar.jpg" border="5" /> Recycled by Shilpa Joglekar Like Ryszard, Indian artist Shilpa Joglekar's project Peace Path is a way of letting people absorb nature at its best. "Peace Path is a ramp like structure created from stones and grass and is 9 feet tall and 12 feet long. Its created in a wavy pattern. People can walk on it and sit on the wavy path to soak in the surroundings. Everything here is art friendly and through the workshops we encourage people to experience the world of art, through their creative ideas," says Shilpa. Just like Shilpa, artists Prashant Jogdand, Raman Adone will represent the Indian point of view at this exchange. These artists will live and work out of the Serenity site for three weeks during which, they will create projects from locally sourced materials such as bamboo, stone, wood, wires, glass bottles and unearthed soil. These sculptures can be created from coil, slab and by pinching method that will be demonstrated by the artists. Found Object Sculptures Make sculptures using natural materials like twigs, small branches, pebbles, stones etc. that can be found on site. This will give the participants an opportunity to absorb and be closer to nature.u00a0 Painting Workshop The artist will give a demonstration of a few simple watercolour techniques that can be used create landscape paintings. Wood sculpting The artist will conduct a chain saw demonstration to cut the wood in interesting forms and patterns and the participants can give it a shot too.
