Whenever we&rsquo;ve received a Motorola phone, we must admit, we&rsquo;ve been in love, from the E, to the Gs, to the Xs. But if we must pick a favourite, it would be the X2. Now, taking that experience a notch (actually an inch) higher is the Nexus 6.

What we liked The build and design is the same as the Moto X2 with the exception of a big Nexus 6 logo engraved on the back. It&rsquo;s stylish and elegant and bears an uncanny similarity to the Moto X2, but well, of course, the display, is an inch bigger.
But the Nexus 6, Google&rsquo;s (and Motorola&rsquo;s) first attempt at a phablet, wins our vote not just in looks but also for hardware. The Nexus 6 gets superb six-inch AMOLED curved display with a resolution of 2560x1440 and pixel density standing above 480ppi. Reading or browsing was smooth with no added stress on the eyes. Besides, it comes with the protection layer of Gorilla Glass 3.
The RAM is higher at 3GB, but more impressive is the 2.7 GHz Qualcomm 805 processor with 405Andreno GPU, which Qualcomm calls, the &lsquo;4K Ultra HD processor&rsquo;. So, playing HD videos or games is a breeze. However, we did find the device getting slightly hot during play sessions, but still, within the comfortable range.
In terms of storage, the Nexus 6 is available in 32GB and 64GB model, with the latter priced 5k more than the 32GB model, which is available for Rs 43,999.
In terms of connect-ivity, the Nexus 6 offers Wi-Fi, NFC, Bluetooth, GPS, and 4G LTE cellular services including 2G and 3G. The battery lasts nearly 24 hours in a single recharge of regular usage, however, it&rsquo;s not a strong point of the Nexus 6.
What we didn&rsquo;t like The device, however, fails to impress in terms of camera; this isn&rsquo;t expected in a +40k device. It gets an average 2MP front camera and a 13MP rear camera, with dual LED ring flash similar to the Moto X2. Though the rear camera supports HDR, optical image stabilisation, and has an aperture of f2.0, it struggles to capture clear images in the night, which is, perhaps, also the biggest disappointment in the Nexus 6.
We also didn&rsquo;t like the pricing of the device, which not only makes it the most expensive Nexus ever, but also ignores the fact that Nexus devices were popular because they offered premium hardware at a still-affordable range. Plus, there&rsquo;s the stark similarity with the Moto X2, which means that visually, there&rsquo;s not much differentiation between the Nexus 6 or the Moto X2, which is priced nearly 15k and is a far more attractive option. You may also want to take a look at the One Plus One that&rsquo;s available on Amazon.in.
Another aspect that you should bear in mind is that Nexus 6 can be a problem to manage in one hand, and more so, if you have small hands. But if a phablet is your dream, and Android is the love of your life, the Nexus 6 makes for an awesome union.
