Last year, Dance music fans did high-fives when the Electronic Dance Music (EDM) festival, Sunburn, introduced a Mumbai edition of this popular festival that&rsquo;s been a stamp on Goa&rsquo;s music calendar since 2007. The second edition that kicks off this weekend will be bigger, with a line-up of 19 Indian and international artistes. <img alt="" src="http://images.mid-day.com/2013/nov/lasers.jpg" style="width: 500px; height: 333px;" /> A previous edition of Sunburn An interesting feature to this two-day festival, to be held at picturesque Mahalaxmi Racecourse is the Afterburn stage, a new property that aims at promoting great artistes of the Underground music scene. Another addition will be the Smash the House stage of DJs Dimitri Vegas and Like Mike that has been featured in several international Dance music festivals. The duo recently jumped upwards in the DJ rankings for the year and are looking to rev up the ammo; &ldquo;It&rsquo;s not too long ago that we were dreaming about being able to do this for a living. Now it feels like my brother and I are living in a dream. It&rsquo;s amazing how fans have responded to our music and our concept and we love every moment of this. India has been brilliant. We are bringing our Smash the House stage to India for the very first time. We are super excited to feature music power house Tom Staar and Wolfpack at our stage for a truly mind blowing set.&rdquo; The other two headliners at this edition of the festival are veterans Paul van Dyk and Fedde Le Grand. Le Grand tells us, &ldquo;My focus is on making unwavering passion for the audience to groove and dance at the festival. Indian audience can look forward to a good mix of Electronic, Techno and House music coming their way. This will be my second trip to India playing at a Sunburn Festival. After experiencing Goa last year, I am looking forward to an enthusiastic, fun, crazy and lively audience. India has always been welcoming and warm.&rdquo; Another global name to make his India debut is Orjan Nilsen. The Norwegian Trance DJ tells us, &ldquo;I wanted to come to India for a long time! I love Indian food and I can&rsquo;t wait to be there, eating the good stuff!&rdquo; This year&rsquo;s line-up is better too, with the headliners doing an encore of Sunburn, Goa 2012. Efforts have also been made to make the festival more accessible to newer fans of Dance music by trying to keep the ticket prices affordable (Tickets start at R1,950 for a two-day pass and R1,500 for the Day 1 pass). Shailendra Singh of Percept explains why, &ldquo;Heading to Goa in December isn&rsquo;t cheap and at all our gigs across India, we have seen that a lot people from neighbouring (tier 2) cities also visit the festival. We&rsquo;ve got fans from Nagpur, Nashik, Ahmedabad and Baroda come down to Mumbai. It&rsquo;s concerned with the support and protection of underprivileged children. Worldwide, I&rsquo;ve worked with Rock The Vote, the FEED programme, the Hurricane Sandy relief effort and most recently with the Peace One Day initiative. The last time I was in Mumbai was two years ago. I played in Goa which was absolutely phenomenal; I think that&#39;s the special thing about Electronic music. Today, Goa, Delhi, Mumbai are just as important as New York, Paris, London or Berlin &mdash; the music just brings people together.u00a0
