For 27-year-old Delafruz Tangri, her passion for baking was always an ongoing love affair. &ldquo; After completing my Hospitality Management, I opted for event management as my career, briefly, but two years back, I decided to start Chocolatissimo,&rdquo; she leads us in about how the dream turned into reality. <img alt="" src="/imagedata/2012/aug/2_37a.jpg" style="width: 500px; height: 415px; " /> Mini cake with cupcakes Back then, she offered only chocolates with different fillings and in premium and regular options. With time, the chocolate-making factory spread its wings to creating delightful cupcakes, personalised cakes and mini cakes as well as their signature chocolates. Small is good So how different is Chocolatissimo from gazillion other homebred bakers and patisserie chefs in the city? &ldquo;We not only gives you delicious desserts but also teach you to make them. Another factor that separates us from the rest is that we offer unique variations in our cupcakes &mdash; there&rsquo;s large, medium, small, mini and even a bite-size! You can drop these into your mouth, literally. <img alt="" src="/imagedata/2012/aug/3_36.jpg" style="width: 500px; height: 371px; " /> Chocolate platter Besides, we&rsquo;ve introduced mini cakes, which are palm-sized versions of the typical cake sizes available in the market.&rdquo; Dela (as she is known) adds that these miniature versions go well as the centerpiece surrounded by smaller cup cakes. Her chocolate-based products are made from Coverture chocolate, which is cocoa-based and comes with fewer chemicals. On the cards Chocolatissimo&rsquo;s menu is extensive. Their cupcake flavours (Rs 45 onwards) offer a choice of frosting that includes butter cream, nutella, cream cheese, caramel and more. While you can get plain and ganache brownies (Rs 50 onwards), the muffins (Rs 30 onwards) are available in vanilla, chocolate, marble, carrot and other flavours. Other desserts on the menu include chocolate lollipops, biscuit chocolate, mini cakes and cake pops that are priced from Rs 15 to Rs 50 onwards. You can also pick up different flavours of chocolate starting at Rs 660 per kg. These apart, customised cupcakes are also done here. Chocolatissimo also conducts classes where they teach how to make chocolates and cupcakes.
