Shenzhen (China): Foraying into home automation or the smart home arena, the world's largest telecommunications equipment manufacturer Huawei has announced it will launch an open source Operating System (OS) 'Honor Lite OS' and 'HiLink' a communication protocol for Internet of Things (IoT) products.

The twin products under the company's sub-brand 'Honor', are expected to launch in the second quarter of 2016 in China.
