What inspired you and made you create your latest album, Deep India? After the success of Deep Brazil, I was looking forward to exploring new music exploits and at that point Sony Music approached me with music by Rahul Sharma on his santoor. He is a genius, and after hearing him, it was confirmed that my next project would be Deep India, in collaboration with the santoor maestro. <img alt="" src="http://images.mid-day.com/2013/jan/Eric.jpg" style="width: 500px; height: 338px;" /> Eric Moquet from Deep Forest This will be your second performance in India; how will it be different as compared to your previous concert? During my first visit to the country, I wasn&rsquo;t aware that the masses would appreciate my music so much. It&rsquo;s a privilege to play my tunes again in this amazing culturally rich country at Sulafest, for those coming from different parts of the country, and from diverse walks of life. It will definitely be more energetic, as I know the crowd will expect more from me after my last performance. The show will have new beats and tunes inspired by brilliant artistes with whom I&rsquo;ve had the pleasure to work with, like Rahul, and others who have contributed to Deep India. Could you tell us about your next project? Do you plan to collaborate with other Indian artistes? As of now, I&rsquo;m preparing for the release of next album Deep Africa, which is slated to be out this year. The album has contributions from various artistes from different countries in the continent, which is famous for its rustic and upbeat music. So, the main focus is on Deep Africa, but you never know &ndash; I might collaborate with another artiste from India in the future. Is there any particular aspect about India that strikes you? This country is rich in cultural heritage, which respects, admires its folk roots and is in touch with modern music as well which made it an ideal platform for the project.
