A musical treat is in store for Mumbaiites who love chamber music and a bit of fusion. Acclaimed musicians from Europe will collaborate with Indian artistes to produce a completely new form of music called Contemporary Indo-European Chamber Music at Ravindra Natya Mandir this week
When the Arts Foundation of the German state of North-Rhine Westphalia, in cooperation with the Goethe-Institut/Max Mueller Bhavan Mumbai, initiated an Artist-in-residence programme, their aim was to promote arts of these two rich cultures to mingle through an exchange of people and ideas.
It was under this programme that Indo-German pianist and composer Jarry Singla has been selected for a six-month-long stay in Mumbai as an Artist-in-Residence.
