The more sex partners a man has, the more he is prone to risk of developing prostate cancer, a study has found out.
According to the study, men with more than seven sexual partners in their lifetime were twice more likely to have prostate cancer than those with lesser partners. At the same time, men who are sexually active earlier, can also push them towards the risk of developing prostate cancer.
Sexual activities and metabolism were associated with a male sex hormone called antigen. This hormone is strongly linked to the beginning of prostate cancer. Apart from these, the study also found out that obesity and family history of prostate cancer can also drive men towards the risk of developing the disease. However, researchers have not found any association between circumcision, vasectomy or erectile function and prostate cancer risk.
