Now, they have also started composing and playing originals and they are set to release their compositions soon.u00a0</div><div><br /></div><div><img src="/imagedata/2012/jan/Bund-Garden-Road1.jpg" border="5" align="" alt="" /><br /></div><div><i><span style="font-size: 8pt; color: red; ">Rock band The Beatroute</span></i></div><div><br /></div><div>Formed in November 2010, The Beatroute is a five member band based in Mumbai. The band is the brainchild of keyboard player Eeshan Tripathi and drummer Gopal Dutta.u00a0When the duo took a break from their regional Rock band Arth, they decided to go western. Over a scorching summer they shortlisted capable band members to play along with.u00a0</div><div><br /></div><div>Two guitar players, a bass guitarist and a few jam sessions later; they finally zeroed in on their permanent members Vignesh Iyer (guitar), Biswajit Chakroborty (bass player) and Gregory Sarma (vocalist). While Gopal is currently on a hiatus due to family commitments, he has been replaced by Toobloo.</div><div><br /></div><div>"We will be performing four of our original songs along with popular U2 songs. It is a musical tribute to the iconic band," said Vignesh Iyer, guitarist from the band.u00a0</div><div><br /></div><div>Alongwith U2 soundtracks, the gig will also feature original music by The Beatroute.
