Art aficionados now have a new platform to showcase their talent. Oakwood Premier Pune, in collaboration with art curators Anaida and Sanjay Sethia, will launch the Pune Art Gallery. <img alt="" src="http://images.mid-day.com/2013/feb/painting-at-Oakwood.jpg" style="width: 500px; height: 514px;" /> The gallery will showcase paintings done on paper, canvas, oil paintings, charcoal and pen art as well as mixed media art. &ldquo;We will screen the artists before the paintings are put on display as we want this to be unique and different from other art galleries in the city,&rdquo; said Sanjay. <img alt="" src="http://images.mid-day.com/2013/feb/Copy-of-Hussain-Image.jpg" style="width: 500px; height: 689px;" /> Paintings on display at the gallery At present there are 65 paintings by 47 budding artists on display. Anaida added that they wanted to give art lovers a chance to check out rare art forms. &ldquo;At this gallery, people will be able to see never-seen-before visuals,&rdquo; she informed. <img alt="" src="http://images.mid-day.com/2013/feb/paiting-to-be-dispalyed.jpg" style="width: 500px; height: 689px;" /> Art lovers can also purchase the paintings on display.
