New research says this drug may result in weight loss for three years in adults without diabetes

Taking tirzepatide drug once a week may produce clinically meaningful and sustained weight loss for at least three years in adults with overweight or obesity who do not have diabetes, according to new research. 

The findings also indicate that females and those without obesity-related complications may be more responsive to tirzepatide treatment, said researchers at the European Congress on Obesity (ECO) in Malaga, Spain.
