Phule Wada is situated in the Ganj Peth area, a few kilometers away from the Pune station. This is the place where Mahatma Jyotirao Phule stayed with his wife Savitribai Phule for some time. The site is believed to have been built in 1852. Mahatma Phule devoted his life to the aim of eradicating the evils of society. He strived for the welfare of the downtrodden and the suppressed classes of society.
