Average download speed of the newly launched Reliance Jio’s 4G network has touched 18.16 Mbps in December 2016, almost double of its rival Vodafone. This is the highest speed achieved the launch of Jio 4G network in September 2016, as per Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) data.

TRAI stated that Vodafone gave speeds of 9.67 Mbps, Idea Cellular gave a speed of 5.94 Mbps and ranked third in the competition, and Airtel provided a speed of only 4.74 Mbps.

According to a 2016 mobile trend released by Alibaba group firm UC News, Reliance Jio was the most searched keyword by mobile users. It even surpassed trending keywords like Salman Khan and Virat Kohli.
