Celebrity fashion photographer Sameer Belvalkar, who has worked on films like Jodhaa Akbar and My Name is Khan, is hosting the Aperture Overtures photography workshop this weekend, in the city. <img alt="" src="http://images.mid-day.com/2013/nov/Sameer-Belvalkar.jpg" style="width: 500px; height: 243px;" /> Learn the basics of photography from u00a0Sameer Belvalkar Belvalkar&rsquo;s entry into the world of photography happened by chance. He was working earlier as a graphic and web designer. &ldquo;One day I grabbed the camera and started clicking around thehouse. When I looked at a couple of pictures that I had clicked, I realised that I had an eye for it and decided to pursue it beyond a hobby,&rdquo; says the ace fashion photographer. At the workshop, Belvalkar will teach the basics of photography right from camera angles to semi-automatic and manual modes of exposure, the manipulation of depth of field, to the groundrules for using specific shutter speeds. &ldquo;The workshop will be more of an interactive session. Along with the technicalities, I will tell them about my journey and solve the queries too. Though photography is an art and cannot be taught, as everyone owns a camera these days, one should learn at least basics of it. What&rsquo;s the use of having a good high tech camera if you want to put everything on &lsquo;auto&rsquo; mode and let the camera do all the work?&rdquo; Belvalkar will also be giving some professional tips to the attendees about photography. &ldquo;It will be mostly about &lsquo;dos and don&rsquo;ts&rsquo; of photography. How to click a perfect picture using &lsquo;ISO&rsquo;, the perfect light, how to minimise the blur and even how to hold the camera.
