Is digital India for real? From filing an RTI request online to storing your documents securely for official purposes, here are some online public services you should try

Online Registration System (ORS)
An important UID-based service, Online Registration System (ORS) is created to link hospitals and help citizens book appointments, and register for health services.
We liked
The registration process is simple. All you need to do is submit your UID number and it will fetch all your personal details automatically. Post which, you will be able to book appointments at any of the linked government hospitals across India, especially useful for those trying to get an appointment at AIIMS, register as a patient, and also use it to request blood availability in five Indian states.
We didn’t like
Firstly, its makers, Department of Information and Technology take no responsibility for the loss or misuse of your medical records or history of services provided via the website. Secondly, there is only one primary healthcare centre from Maharashtra (14 all over India) as a part of it. To make it successful, linking hospitals together should be a priority.
Alternative: None
LOG ON TO: Ors.gov.in
