Tigress captured after fatal attacks in UP dies hours later

A tigress that killed two people here earlier this month died after being captured and tranquillised by forest officials in the Dudhwa Tiger Reserve buffer zone, officials said on Wednesday.

A forest department team, assisted by veterinarians, successfully located and tranquillised the four-year-old tigress near Ramnagar Kalan village on Tuesday evening.
