Finding someone who looks perfect on paper? That's out now. In 2026, Indian dating singles want someone who fits their real life, even if it's not perfect all the time. Indian singles are now more vocal about what they want, more meticulous about who they pick, and they definitely don't want to waste time decoding mixed signals from matches who don't show long-term potential. These modern daters check emotional compatibility before getting invested in a connection: from "Do I like this person?" to "Does this match make sense?" this generation of daters has come a long, long way.
According to a recent survey by Indian dating app, QuackQuack, three dating trends in particular have captured the shift and shaped 2026; these trends are also predicted to carry into 2027.
