The historic Abulafia Bakery, founded in 1879 in Jaffa, is witnessing a gradual recovery in tourist footfall following the recent ceasefire. 

Abulafia, CEO of Abulafia Bakery, says, "We prepare traditional Middle Eastern pastries, ranging from sesame bagels and pita with za'atar to stuffed sambousaks filled with cheese, feta and potatoes. Our bakery has become a well-known brand in Israel. We are a Muslim Arab family, and our bakery is loved by Jews, Christians and Muslims alike. Even many Indians working in Israel, especially those employed in the diamond exchange, are our regular customers... Unfortunately, tourism has remained very low over the past three years. Around 15 per cent of our customers are tourists, so we certainly felt the impact. But since the ceasefire last month, tourism has improved significantly, and we hope it continues to recover. We also hope peace returns to the Middle East."
