But marketing gimmicks apart, it seemed like a good enough weekend holiday option. At a height of 8,500 m above sea level, with a drive from Delhi via Haridwar to Rishikesh to the resort being only eight hours, what more could we have wanted. The approximate distance from Delhi to Kanatal is about 300 kms not much if you take a break while traveling. We took longer though as we took the overnight train to Dehradun and then took a car to Kanatal. But it was well worth it, living in a resort amidst the natural beauty of the hills is in itself a wonderful experience, we thought. We have to admit, we were underestimating the place. As you reach the resorts after a long journey, it feels like paradise. The air you breathe, the resort itself, the room that you check into and the view of the hills that you take in as peep out of the window it's a love at first sight feeling. Who says love is gone! What's great about the resort is that guests are a priority and all efforts are extended to enable a pleasant stay for you. From the culinary preferences of the residents to all facilities for seamless conduction of business conferences, Kanatal resort makes your stay a wonderful experience. But what you should be here for are the spa treatments. Choose from Soothing Scalp Massage, Oriental Therapeutic Massage, Ayurvedic Treatment, Shirodhara and more. We opted for the Shirodhara and trust us when we say this we haven't had a better time in any Delhi spa.
