With heavy rainfall subsiding in Idukki, restrictions on tourism activities in the district were withdrawn on Monday, officials said.

The district witnessed heavy rainfall last week, triggering landslides and floods and prompting the District Collector, who is also the head of the District Disaster Management Authority, to impose restrictions on tourism activities in Munnar, Pallivasal, Kunjithanni and Vagamon, all popular tourist destinations.
