Tansa, the lake that nourishes a silent forest and a bustling city, supplies water to one-third of Mumbai and is a fascinating peaceful haven that is home to a sanctuary. The best news? It's barely two hours from buzzing Mumbai
There are six lakes that quench the ever-increasing thirst of the city of Mumbai: Tulsi, Vihar, Bhatsa, Modak Sagar, Vaitarna and Tansa.
